The ACOG is the most robust, durable, rigid optic design made. And this is illuminated LED version, but do not forget that this optic has an etched reticle so it will always be there. The LED just powers a brightness overlay onto the reticle. Also the top dot mounting interface is at the front of the optic so in conjunction with NVG you have more room to look through the red dot mounted on top.
